All firearms designated for the NRA Firearms for Freedom program are reviewed by the experts at the National Firearms Museum. In some cases, donated firearms may be of historic importance or fill a need in the museum's collection—those firearms may qualify as a charitable gift for tax purposes.

A majority of firearms are designated for sale through auction or another sales venue, with proceeds benefiting the NRA program of the donor's choice. In either case, your gift of firearms will play an important role in securing the future of freedom.
